Is peanut butter ok for a 6 month old
The good news is peanut butter can be introduced to a 6-month-old baby as part of baby-led weaning, but it should be done with caution.
Which is why this date peanut butter balls recipe is a great introduction.
Whole peanut butter is too thick and sticky, posing a choking hazard, so it is recommended to offer it in a very thin layer spread on soft foods like toast or mixed into purees.
It's important to watch for any signs of allergic reactions, especially if there is a family history of allergies.
Always consult with your health care provider before introducing peanut butter or any potential allergenic foods to your baby’s diet.

Babies can eat peanut butter and oats together as a nice option of nutritious ingredients provided that both ingredients have been introduced safely and there are no known allergies.
Peanut butter is a good source of protein and healthy fats, while oats offer fibre and essential nutrients, making this combination a nutritious choice for baby-led weaning.
When offering peanut butter, it should be smooth and spread thinly to reduce the risk of choking.
Oats can be cooked to a soft consistency appropriate for the baby's developmental stage.
Always observe your baby closely for any signs of allergic reaction, especially when first introducing peanut products.

Make sure that the bag/airtight container is labelled with the item and the date. I use masking tape to label the airtight container.
