This cheese puff bento box is really fun and so delicious!

If you need an easy lunch for your little ones that is so simple to make you will need to save this recipe!

I love to keep some pastry in the fridge as it’s so easy to create something fun with everyday food I have in the fridge and store cupboard.

I love the fact that this is one of them, an easy cheesy pastry recipe!

I played around for ages to create the perfect cheese puff shape and this I’m really pleased with how it turned out! And of course it is so easy to follow and make!

I have added a few of my son’s favourites including cucumber, pineapple and blueberries!

I must always say, if you are giving this to your 6 month old, you can either leave the blueberries out or you could squish them between your fingers until they are flat.

To make the pineapple easily picked up, you could sprinkle with some flaxseed if your little one is 6 months old to make it easier to grip with their hands.

This recipe is so simple but so effective and delicious! Give it a try I’d love to know what you think!

    Ingredient information

Puff pastry - I tend to use Jus Roll pastry, but any supermarket ready roll pastry is great!

Mature cheddar cheese - You could use a mild cheese but I love to use mature cheddar cheese for the sharpness of taste. Lots of calcium in there too!

Cucumber - A delicious snack or as part of a meal, cucumber is a great veggie to include in your little ones diet!

Pineapple - A tasty sweet treat, that is always accepted by my son! So I had to include it in this bento box!

Blueberries - Another favourite of my son, packed full of antioxidants.

    Serving suggestion

This bento box is perfect served on its own, as always! If you wanted to serve this with anything, as you can see I have included an apple, but you could serve this with a little Greek yogurt or some extra cheese sticks!

    Recipe notes

If you wanted to make these gluten free you could use Jus Roll gluten free pastry. If you wanted to make the cheese puffs vegan, you could use Jus roll puff pastry and veg ran cheese. This would also make these dairy free.
