    ABC Bagel

An ABC bagel made with apple, banana, and carrot is a fantastic combination for incorporating hidden fruits and vegetables into a child's diet. They really are the best bagels for bagel lovers.

The natural sweetness of the apple and banana balances the subtle earthiness of the carrot, creating a flavourful yet nutritious bagel that appeals to little ones.

This blend not only adds essential vitamins and fibre but also introduces young palates to a variety of tastes and textures in a fun and accessible way.

Perfect for baby-led weaning, the ABC bagel offers a simple, wholesome option to encourage healthy eating habits from the start.

Great if baby is trying a bagel for the first time as it is homemade.

    Baby Bagels

A homemade bagel is an excellent choice for baby-led weaning because it offers a soft yet sturdy texture that is easy for little hands to grasp and chew.

Making bagels at home allows you to control the ingredients, avoiding unnecessary additives, preservatives, and excessive salt or sugar that are often found in store-bought options.

Their circular shape with a hole in the middle provides a perfect size and grip for babies to hold independently, encouraging self-feeding and fine motor skill development.

Bagels can be customised with nutrient-rich toppings such as mashed avocado or cream cheese, making them a versatile and nutritious meal option for your baby.

    Ingredient information

Carrot - Carrots are a great addition to baby’s diet. They are great grated or cooked to batons from 6 months old.

Apple - Another great weaning ingredient, they can be grated or cooked in so many different recipes.

Banana - Bananas are great mashed and great for adding sweetness so many different recipes suitable for baby.

Yogurt - I have used Greek yogurt for this recipe, a great low sugar ingredient for baby and toddler suitable from 6 months old.

Flour - I have used self raising flour for this recipe so that the bagels cook light and fluffy.
